It's been 20 years since I went to the city of Siem Reap Cambodia. A great deal has happened in 20 years, the degree of growth has been unprecedented. The impression was lack of services on arriving in 1993. There was the Tuk Tuk driver eager to drive you. Hotels were popping up, but other services were limited. There were no ATMs and don't have much else to do if one wanted to have a rest from going to the temples. Fast-forward 20 years and the problem have changed through a lot of knowledge, investment and innovation. The tenacity is eager to show off their nation and take.
It's also been possible as are currently returning with the knowledge they've accumulated bring change into the community. To Siem Reap as only a temple visit getting ready season starting in October don't only think with lots of companies.
A minute to take a look at what is available and how it increases the economy, Horseback riding in Siem Reap is an example of this kind of tour, for all those with a little adventure in mind why don't you have a horse-riding trip for 1-3 hours through rural countryside passing streams, rice fields and neighborhood villages. The tours are appropriate for beginners and kids and are a fun way to rest up going to the temples or just to experience something different on a trip to Cambodia.
For all those with a head for heights and wanting into catch some aerial views and pictures of the Majestic Angkor Wat attempt a balloon ride over Angkor. The German made helium balloon does not actually move as it's attached to a rope, but jumps about 200 meters for a 10 minute trip that lets you to get some great photos and an aerial view of the 8th wonder of the world. If one found oneself in Siem Reap on a Sunday evening a great adventure is a traditional Khmer dance show with live traditional music put on by of the Cambodian Children’s House of Peace, an orphanage in Siem Reap. The show is held every Sunday throughout the school term without fail at 7pm.
