Siem Reap has recently gained more attention from tourists. This has resulted in changes in how to get to Siem Reap from Phnom Penh. There are the best new bus companies, convenient flights, and also good taxi services. Though moving from a city is never easy, there are a few easy ways now and the options fit all the budgets.

Taxi Private taxis are the real option of comfort offering the opportunity to see stunning scenery on the drive. A private car costs $75. You can stop for coffees, toilet breaks, and sightseeing. There are nice cars offered with drivers to pick from your location. Book taxis in advance for cheaper rates. Buses The buses are many to ply between Phnom Penh and Siem Reap. There are economy and CIP buses from companies namely Mekong Express and Giant Ibis. In fact, now there are many more options such as Larryta Express, Cambodia Post VIP, Seila Angkor, and Bayon VIP as good alternatives. Bayon buses are economy buses sitting 50 people roughly and the price is $5-$6. The VIP buses are smaller covering around 15 people and are at $9-$12. VIP buses cover in 6 hours and the economy buses take 7 hours. Flights There are flights regularly namely Lanmei Airlines, Cambodia Angkor Air, and JC International Airlines. The best is Cambodia Angkor Air costing $160 and reaches in 45 minutes. You can also get at the taxi rank a Tuk Tuk. However for cheap Tuk Tuk’s exit the airport and get one. Ferry Boats Take a ferry boat for a memorable experience. It will take 8 + hours of journey time, but you can enjoy the stunning scenery. The ferry service is not available between Aprils to June as the level of water is low.
